The Extended Stay hotel can offer a reduced rate of $500 (including tax) for the dates of CQ FL from 12/25/09 to 1/1/2010.  The rate includes a standard queen size bed, TV, and kitchenette with stove top, microwave, refrigerator, sink, pots and pans.  It may be possible to upgrade to a room with two queen size beds but space is limited during the popular holiday season.  This offer is based on availability.

The Extended Stay service is prompt and the room is clean, furnishings are newer, the hotel is safe and easy to find.  Bring your own toiletries; the hotel does not provide them without a charge.

Local phone calls are free and $4.99 for high speed internet service for the entire stay.

The hotel is near the airport, the Florida turnpike, interstate 95, Las Olas Boulevard, Water Taxis (they cost around $13/adult and $10/kids under 12 years old) for all day service, and is on the Trolley line and Bus route (# 40).  The #40 bus can take CQ FL families from the hotel to the beaches  and to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.

There are many restaurants and bars to choose from are within walking distance on SE 17th Causeway.

Las Olas Blvd is a fun, pedestrian street with many restaurants to choose from as well.

Publix is behind the hotel, where guests at the Extended Stay can stock up on groceries and toiletries.

Extended Stay Motel

Parents and younger siblings are welcome to stay at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park or at a nearby hotel (see EXTENDED STAY HOTEL below).  Day time planned activities are scheduled for campers (ages 8-18) only; parents will be responsible for the supervision of younger siblings.  Parents and younger siblings can enjoy the park or nearby attractions. If parents and younger siblings choose to stay with CQ FL, then they will receive three meals a day (including Festivus and New Year's Eve dinners) with the entire camp;  bunk bed(s) in same-gender cabins (separate from those for campers and staff); they may also participate in after dinner evening activities and attend the visit by the Amazing Randi  of the Randi Educational Foundation (JREF).

If parents and younger siblings stay in a nearby hotel, then they can eat at local restaurants and visit nearby attractions in the exciting Ft Lauderdale and greater Miami/Miami Beach areas.  Hotel rates have been negotiated for the same $500/week that would allow one camper to stay at our camp (this option saves families the cost of room/board/activity fees for non-campers).  The Extended Stay American accommodations include a studio suite with kitchenette and queen size bed.  (See below.) The hotel can also arrange discount car rental upon request.  There are also several other lodging options in the area that range from economical motels to luxury suite hotels.
